A quarter steer is sold by hanging weight at a cost of $4.55/lb plus processing fees
Depending on the size of the steer, hanging weight will average 150-175lbs with processing costs of approximately $1.05/lb.
Final "take home" weight is approximately 65-70% of the hanging weight. You should expect ~100 to 125 pounds of finished beef cuts.

Depending on the size of the steer, hanging weight will average 325-375lbs with processing costs of approximately $1.05/lb depending on requested cuts.
Final "take home" weight is approximately 65-70% of the hanging weight. You should expect ~220 to 270 pounds of finished beef cuts.
All half/whole steers are custom cut to your specifications.

At approximately 24+/- months of age, the beef is processed at a small USDA processing facility. It is aged for 2-weeks, then cut, individually vacuum sealed and frozen. We sell mixed boxes and quarters, providing you with a full range of cuts. Boxes include 1.5" thick steaks and 3-4 pound roasts. Half steers are custom cut to your specifications. We will be happy to work with you!
